Starting October 1st we will be organizing a “You’ve Got Flocked” event in Tellico Village where neighbors will prank their friends with a flock of pink flamingos in their front yard. Those being “flocked” will have the choice to pay for a certified flamingo handler to either remove the flock or relocate the flock to another friend’s house. Ultimately participation will be voluntary, but we believe this will be a fun and successful way to bring joy to others and reach our goal of donating $3,000 to the cancer fund.

On Tuesday October 11th we will be hosting a cookout and health fair in our parking lot. We expect 200 to 300 people to attend as in previous events we have hosted. We have a mobile mammogram unit that will be attending our event and providing screening services. We will be providing free hot dogs, chips, and drinks, selling t-shirts, and promoting our “You’ve Got Flocked” event through the end of October. We have neighboring health related businesses that will be promoting their products and services at the event as well.
